The cost of maintaining Greenfield facilities (hall, grounds, tennis courts, rinks and playground) is considerable. Our community league covers these costs and subsidizes programs through membership fees, fundraising and an annual City operating grant.
Additional grants are also available from the city and the province with most of these grants being provided on a “matching funds” basis. Grant money is used to hire staff to supervise the playground and the wading pool, and to hire a tennis pro during the summer.
We rely on volunteers working bingos and casinos to raise the funds to maintain our facilities and programs.

GCL received over $67,000 for providing volunteers at this casino. This is a major source of funds for our community league.
Our next casino will be in the last quarter of 2012.
