Rules
Players must register and have the waiver signed by their parents before the first game.

No body checking, slap shots, or raising the puck will be allowed. Players breaking this rule will have to serve penalty time on the bench. Players breaking this rule consistently may have to sit out an entire game or leave the program.

Games will be cancelled if the temperature or wind chill is below -20C, if there is too much snow fall to clear the ice in a timely manner, or if it is warm enough to soften the ice.
Cost
Players can pay a drop in fee each game they attend or pay for the season.  A maximum of 30 players will be accepted each game. Players signed up for the season will have spot reserved each game. Drop in players will be accepted starting 15 minutes before each game; first come, first served (you must bring a signed registration form to play)

Drop in fee: (due at the start of each game):
GCL members: $5
Non-members: $10

Sign up for the season (approx. 12 games):
GCL members: $50
Non-members: $100

Equipment
Required: Players must have a CSA approved helmet with a cage, skates, hockey gloves, shin pads, a hockey stick (not plastic), and a water bottle labelled with name.

*Full Equipment such as elbow pads, hockey pants, neck protector, shoulder pads and groin protection are recommended.

Additional suggested items:
Gloves to fit inside hockey gloves for added warmth, a light tuque or balaclava to wear under the helmet.

Drop-in players can pay at the game,

2011/12 ​Program

Season Starts December 17th!
(*note there is no game December 24th)

This no contact hockey program emphasizes fun, good sportsmanship, and developing basic skating and hockey skills.

For boys and girls ages 7-11 years old
Saturdays
10am - 11am
December through February
(weather permitting)
at Greenfield Community Hockey Rink

Coaches will lead players in 
warm up and training drills 
then organize a shinny hockey game.

Hot chocolate will be served after the game in the skate shack.
