Telus Cell Phone Tower
at Greenfield Baptist Church.
A group of concerned residents has been lobbying stakeholders and government to try to stop the building of the cell phone tower. You can email nogreenfieldtower@gmail.com to be added to their mailing list.
GCL has now heard that Dayspring Church
has also signed a contract for a cell phone tower with Rogers Communications - though no application has been made to the city yet.
The GCL Executive is writing all stakeholders to express our frustration with the lack of community consultation during the cell phone tower application process and to share the concerns that have been expressed to us by some of our residents.
New Parking Policy
The GCL parking lot is closed
to people not using GCL facilities.
A chain will remain across the entrance
until drivers adjust to this change.
Traffic unrelated to hall activities has been interfering with people renting the facility, posing a danger to anyone using the lot, and increasing our maintenance costs (both snow removal and resurfacing the pavement).
In the future, vehicles parked illegally will be
tagged and towed.
